RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesia is set to highlight its commitment to sustainable economic diplomacy and global competitiveness at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, scheduled for January 19–22.
Indonesian Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said that Indonesia's participation in the event reflects a consistent strategy to strengthen the country's position as a strategic global partner amid shifting economic dynamics.
Speaking in Jakarta on Sunday, January 18, 2026, Rosan explained that Indonesia’s delegation will involve the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Danantara Indonesia, and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).
He emphasized that this presence is not incidental but part of a long-term effort to promote national investment potential. “The WEF is an important platform for Indonesia to present its policy direction and readiness in facing global challenges," Minister Rosan said, as quoted by
Antara. He added that the event is also a valuable momentum to share Indonesia's national narrative and future plans with the international community, including new policies and regulations that signal Indonesia’s progress.
With the WEF’s 2026 theme, “A Spirit of Dialog,” Indonesia aims to position itself as a constructive and solution-oriented partner.
The government will underscore its commitment to economic stability, policy certainty, and competitive long-term investment opportunities as the foundation for enhancing national competitiveness.
Indonesia will also continue its “Indonesia Incorporated” approach, fostering synergy between government, state asset managers, and the private sector. Central to this effort is the Indonesia Pavilion, themed “Indonesia Endless Horizons,” which will serve as a hub for integrated investment promotion and a showcase of the Indonesian vision for inclusive and sustainable development.
Complementing the formal agenda, Indonesia will host Indonesia Night, an informal economic diplomacy event bringing together world leaders, global investors, and international business figures.
Through cultural and artistic performances, the event will highlight Indonesia’s rich heritage while reinforcing its identity as a nation open to sustainable collaboration and green economy initiatives. ***
