Persis Solo Signs Two Serbian Players to Strengthen Defense

RRI.CO.ID, Jakarta - Indonesian football club Persis Solo has officially signed two Serbian players, central defender Dusan Mijic and goalkeeper Vukasin Vranes, to reinforce its defensive line for the 2025/2026 BRI Super League season.

Mijic, who previously played for PFK Qizilqum in Uzbekistan’s top division, expressed his enthusiasm about joining Persis Solo, widely known as Laskar Sambernyawa. He praised the club’s organization and the passion of its supporters.

“This feeling is incredible. My first impression is very impressive; it’s an organized and established club. I feel honored to be part of the team with such amazing supporters,” Mijic said on Sunday, January 18, 2026, as quoted on the club’s official website.

The defender emphasized that his immediate focus is helping Persis Solo move clear of the relegation zone.

“The current goal is to reach a safe position as soon as possible and enter matches with confidence. The team must stay disciplined and united, and I hope the fans will continue to support us because their encouragement is vital for our motivation,” he added.

Meanwhile, Vranes arrives from FK FAP Priboj, a club competing in Serbia’s Mozzart Bet Prva Liga. The goalkeeper said he is eager to contribute and strengthen Persis Solo’s last line of defense.

“I want to thank the club for the opportunity to join. I know Persis Solo is one of the biggest clubs in Indonesia, with amazing supporters. I believe we can achieve our goal of staying safe in the league until the end of the season,” Vranes said.

“I will give 100 percent in every game and training session to ensure Persis remains in the safe zone. With teamwork and unity, we can achieve our targets. I also hope all Persis supporters continue to encourage us, even when conditions are challenging,” he added.

The addition of Mijic and Vranes is expected to provide an immediate boost to Persis Solo’s defensive performance as the team works to improve its standing and secure safety in the BRI Super League this season. ***
